It was my first Killers concert and I didn’t know what to expect – it felt great not knowing what to expect. lol. It was great to finally see them live. I had been trying to get tickets since their first album, but it’s always sold out so quickly.
The stage design wasn’t that special to be honest nor was the visual images that they’re using througout the concert. Average i would say. Nevertheless, it was their repertoire that makes them one of the biggest bands in the world at the moment.
They opened the gig with HUMAN, their massive hits from the last album. It was magic, I could see everyone in the stadium just jumping around and dancing through out the song. It truly was amazing. Hits after hits for 1.5 hours. From crowd favourites such as Somebody Told Me, Smile Like You Mean It (i love the accoustic version they did!), Mr Brightside to the lesser known such as The World That We Live In, A Dustland Fairytale (from the last album). The crowd was sing along to Flower’s daft lyrics.
Brandon Flower as always doing this funny dance move which was quite entertaining to watch. He’s done a very good job with his vocal though. The only thing they lack was communication. He didn’t seem to talk much, just kept singing song after song. However it was ok, it didn’t bother me at all.
The venue itself had got some problems with the sound systems (from where I sat anyway – which wasn’t that far from the stage). It was really echoy and quite alot of feedback for the first 3-4 songs. Although they seemed to fix it with some random feedback here and there.
Conclusion: This isn’t gonna be my last Killers concert. I know i will definitely come to their next one, hopefully i will get standing tickets for a better experience.
Rating:4/5 (i would give it a 5 if the sound was better).
